Macross II: Lovers Again Alus Edition

Super Dimension Fortress MACROSS II - Lovers Again - takes place within the solar system during 2090 A.D. Eighty years have passed since the events of Space War I, and U.N. Spacy has encountered little in the way of further interstellar threats to humanity’s homeworld. This long peace is suddenly shattered when a previously-unknown, highly aggressive humanoid alien race, the Marduk, launches a surprise attack.
During the first wave of assaults, it quickly becomes clear that not only does this new adversary appear to be immune to U.N. Spacy’s musical Minmay Attack, but the Marduk can inspire their soldiers using their own songstresses, the Emulators. During a front-line reporting assignment, Tabloid TV reporter Hibiki Kanzaki locates and rescues an Emulator in distress, Ishtar.
With the Minmay Attack no longer effective, U.N. Spacy is forced to deploy its entire arsenal in a desperate attempt to protect the Earth from utter devastation. Meanwhile, Hibiki, Ishtar, and U.N. Spacy ace pilot Silvie Gena race against time to discover the secrets hidden aboard the SDF-1 Macross fortress, hoping that they will provide the key to ending the conflict between humanity and the mysterious Marduk.

Two Japanese commentaries featuring production staff: Tomita Sukehiro (Story Editor/Screenwriter), Mikimoto Haruhiko (Character Design) & Sasaki Shiro (Music Producer) and voice actors: Takayama Tsutomu (voice of Hibiki Kanzaki), Kasahara Hiroko (voice and singing voice of Ishtar) & Toma Yumi (voice of Silvie Gena).
Clean opening and ending credits sequences.
List of all Kickstarter backers on the disc.
Liner Notes booklet containing interviews with Takanashi Minoru, Tomita Sukehiro, Mikimoto Haruhiko, Yatagai Ken'ichi, Honda Yasunori and Sasaki Shiro.
Folded printed insert containing a poster on one side and a list of backers on the other.
Reversible cover slip; can be configured between traditional and graphics-heavy presentation.

Add-Ons
We are going to add some extra goodies as the project develops (such as our traditional embroidered patch), but for now we have two shikishi character goods specially created for the project by the legendary Mikimoto Haruhiko!
These shikishi will all use the same new fully detailed and colored drawing (so they will have the same level of detail as the other tiers) but are fully printed reproductions. As with all the other shikishi, they will be personally inscribed and signed / numbered by the artist. Note that this tier will not use the same base drawing as the semi-customized shikishi! Limit: one per backer. The image above is an example of work the artist has done on a previous project.
These shikishi will all use the same base drawing, which will be created exclusively for use in this edition. The core line art and base hair and skin color work will be printed on shikishi boards, and then Mikimoto-sensei will individually color the clothing and background of each shikishi before inscribing and signing / numbering them. Limit: One per backer. The image above is an example of work the artist has done on a previous project.

Extra Sets
Concerned that the Marduk might attack again and destroy your precious Blu-ray? You can guard against this very real possibility by ordering extra sets (limit: total of 5 sets per backer). You can mix and match various versions, but if you are ordering artbooks, make sure your first copy includes an artbook so the shipping cost is handled correctly.
Shipping and Taxes
All shipping is flat-rate, based on whether or not you ordered one of the artbooks (they weigh a lot!). Extra sets get free shipping. The shipping costs are:
United States
$7, or $9 if artbook is included.
Canada
$24, or $32 if artbook is included. Shipped Delivery Duty Paid, so customs duty and fees are prepaid by us.
United Kingdom
$20, or $30 if artbook is included. We have to collect and remit UK VAT, and we will make arrangements for you to be able to pay the VAT shortly before we ship.
Other International Backers (excluding Japan and China)
$21, or $36 if artbook is included. You are responsible for paying any customs duty or fees.
Japan and China
Our license does not include Japan or China. We cannot accept orders with shipping addresses in those countries. Sorry!
